Rudbeckia hirta 'Prairie Sun'

Common Name: Annual Black-Eyed Susan, Gloriosa Daisy

This classic annual coneflower produces a great abundance of large, yellow daisies with an orange-gold eye and green cone on strong, vigorous plants from early summer until frost.

It’s hard to imagine any sunny garden without it! The folks at Fleuroselect and All America Selections agreed, awarding the plant in 2003 with its highest honors.

It combines well with just about everything else in the garden and looks especially nice with grasses and asters.
