Hosta 'Royal Crest' PP32067
Common Name: Hosta
This next generation hybrid of 'Royal Standard' will blow the old garden staple out of the water and is the perfect addition to your fragrant Hosta collection. A more polished plant than its parent with thicker foliage, 'Royal Crest' has medium green, shiny leaves that show heavier substance than traditional fragrant varieties. Large white flowers are produced August to early September here in Michigan. Displays sun tolerance, which is why we are able to offer this hosta as a field grown bare root.
Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today's gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve. Their large leaves provide excellent coverage for dying bulb foliage. Hostas also grow well in city environments where the air may be polluted by car exhaust, etc.
