Hemerocallis 'Orange Smoothie' PP28643 CPBR6124……….."RAINBOW RHYTHM® Collection

Common Name: Daylily

From the same hybridizer who brought you the popular reblooming daylily 'Going Bananas' comes this brand new introduction that is sure to please. 4" wide, orange mango petals with a light rose band, pink mid-rib, and green throat. The flower scapes have well-branched, 4-way scapes and upwards near 32 buds per scape, packing quite a punch with its flower performance. The diamond dusting will dazzle you as it sparkles in direct sun. Flowers are cookie-cutter consistent in form and color and we have observed excellent rebloom. 'Orange Smoothie' combines well with pastel and bold colors alike, making it a great choice for landscape designers. Plant en masse for a truly stunning display.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies)

  • Early Midseason Bloomer, blooming in early July.
  • Rebloomer, producing a second set of flowers.
  • Fragrant flowers.
  • Dormant foliage.
  • Diploid with 22 chromosomes. Most plants are Diploids.
