The first pure white flowered selection in the Frost Kiss Helleborus series, and a beauty it is, Moondance features abundant glowing flowers against extremely dark foliage, From mid winter well into spring, this incredibly floriferous beauty displays large, outward-facing and nodding bowl-shaped flowers with white petals surrounding a chartreuse green center zone from which emerges a prominent burst of yellow stamens and a red carpel. The abundant, long-lasting flowers are perched atop strong and sturdy stems to about 18 inches tall which make them excellent for cutting and display in floral arrangements and bouquets. The nectar-rich flowers offer emerging winter and early spring bees an essential food source at a time when not much else is blooming in the garden. The flower stems rise above a handsome clump of evergreen, leathery, very deep green leaves with silver veining.
