Buxus 'Green Mountain Spiral'

Common Name: Boxwood, Topiary

The Green Mountain Boxwood Spiral is an excellent broad-leaved evergreen with dark, shiny green leaves all year. It’s among the many varieties of practical and aesthetic foundation plantings (e.g., American Boxwood, Variegated Boxwood, Winter Gem Boxwood). Typically grown as a pyramidal, it’s dense, upright, and pointed. To keep its shape, additional shearing will be needed as the plant grows and develops. This upright boxwood variety is an excellent specimen plant that will take sun or shade in the landscape. Although slow-growing, a Green Mountain Boxwood shrub is resistant to droughts, making it a great low-maintenance evergreen shrub. Topiary is the word to describe particularly shaped plants that fit a predetermined shape. The Green Mountain Spiral Topiary is exactly what it sounds like. It is a green mountain boxwood that was trimmed into a spiral shape. Topiary is not a "Naturally occurring shape" so it will have to be sheared back into shape at the start of each season.
